How to use this pack:
This pack adds 31 unique swords (+a few variations) to the game without affecting any items you obtain in survival.
No mods are required, not even Optifine.
You however need to have operator permissions to either give yourself the sword or add a CustomModelData nbt tag to an existing sword.
Once you equipped the pack you can use this command to get one of the swords (capitalization is important!) :
/give @s iron_sword{CustomModelData:10}
The CustomModelData value determines which swords you get. The values are always: day of the prompt*10 + variant number.
So 140 will give you the first variant of the aquatic sword, 141 the second variant and so on. If there is no variant it just shows the normal sword for that prompt.
PS: I mad the pack in a way that this can be used on other swords (like diamond swords etc.) too btw.
Similarly you can also get yourself these small "pokedex"-like cards (the ones you see on the second image in the gallery) with some lore ingame by doing the same thing, but with a paper item. Prompts 4, 14 and 18 have animated cards that cycles through its variants. Prompt 3 has 2 cards (CustomModelData 30 and 31) because I mad 2 bug swords.
If you don't want to bother giving yourself each item here are 4 commands to give yourself chests that contain all swords and cards:

FAQ:
- The pack doesn't work?
Make sure you are in 1.14 or newer, or the pack won't work (that's because CustomModelData didn't exist before this). - The pack says it's outdated?
The pack is made for 1.17. If you are using 1.14 or newer you can ignore the warning. If it really bothers you you'd need to change the pack_format number in the pack.mcmeta of the pack from 7 to whatever number your current version requires. - It shows a normal sword instead of the custom one?
Make sure that you wrote the command exactly like I did (capitalization and spaces are important!) and that your CustomModelData values is at least 10 (anything lower than that will show a normal sword).
Also, if you are using this on a server make sure no plugin is screwing over the vanilla command syntax. Worst case you might have to write /minecraft:give instead (this does NOT work in singleplayer!) - Can I use these swords in my video/map/mod/...
Yes, but please give appropriate credit (small mention in the description of the video/map /mod etc. is fine). I will not tolerate people taking the textures without even crediting though! - Can I modify the textures and the pack?
Feel free to do so. Credit would still be appreciated though. - Can I use the textures in my own pack?
Private? (=only you) Sure.
Public? (=for a server) Only with appropriate credit. - Do the swords have any special abilities?
No, this is just a resource pack. A resource pack alone cannot change how an item behaves. The swords behave exactly like the base item (iron sword etc.). The info on the cards is purely to give them some lore and make them sound more interesting. - Question that isn't answered here:
